West Ham in 20 years.

Where do people feel we will be in 20 years, in terms of the Stadium?
I think a situation like Espanyol experienced is highly likely. They moved to the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona, hated it, stayed there for 12 years, then decided to cut their losses and built a new 40,000 seater stadium back in their original part of the city for €75M.
If new owners came in, maybe not the next but the ones after that, that could be a possibility. Or is redeveloping the London Stadium into a proper football ground possible/viable?

That mayot bloke will try to impose a change of contract conditions on the club (once Labour win the election). The owners will tell him to fuck off and we'll go and ground share with Charlton (covering much of the cost to make their stadium suitable.
The Olympic Stadium, bereft of all West Ham memorabilia will fall into disrepair and politicians will try (and fail) to out-bluff the West Ham board into returning*.
They will be then told to "get rid of the bloody thing" (so the money can be spent on a "gay black one-legged whale support group".) and the club will be offered the site free from all covenants.
It will be completely razed and a proper football stadium will rise from the ashes.
* - any would be politicians reading this: you WILL fail. If you was any good you'd have gone into business yourself.

The only way that'll be a football stadium worthy of us is if the fucking thing's demolished and you start from scratch.
It can't be developed into anything like the stadium the cunt brothers tell us it is as things stand.
In fact it'd probably cost more to try and amend what's there than to start from a blank page.

Once athletics are told to do one then yes, buy and redevelop the stadium. I'm not to sure on the legalities of doing it but would like to see it happen.

I would not put a fiver on the world still being here, never mind thinking that far ahead about West ham.
All I know is this, in 20 years time if we are still fluffing about not winning cups and never challenging for the title they will struggle to get 5.000 in that stadium no way will the modern modern geeze accept banal entertainment the way our Grandfathers fathers and we do, 56.000 will be a distant memory a number probably plastered on West ham merchandise.

The current owners will be dead. That is certain.
We will stay Stadium? Hope not it needs to be back in the community a brownfield site in Plaistow would bode well

Two teams.
Colchester Hammers FC in purpose built 50K stadium in Essex.
And AFC West Ham play converted greyhound track Dagenham 10K cap.

I wen't to Espanyol on Sunday. Nice Stadium, only half full though and not exactly an intimidating atmosphere.

Of Course redeveloping is an option and it is more than possible.
The Tax payer would love it to come out of their hands and be taken privately and not suffer the losses.
Hate to say it but a proper multi use stadium like what the people up the road are building will work very well in our position.
Actually we could build something bigger and better with a new owner and take revenue from them.
